The normal rules for Sudoku puzzles, are that each row, column and box, must feature all the numbers (so, for example, in a 9 X 9 Sudoku, each row column and box, must feature all the numbers 1 through 9). Sudoku X (also known as Kokonotsu) adds an additional rule, namely that the two main diagonals must also feature all the numbers.
